Rhoden Inks Deal With Ronnie Coleman Signature Series

The signing comes as a huge shocker, even for Ronnie himself. Ronnie readily admits he didn't plan on signing an athlete in 2012. "Neither of us expected this to happen really, it kind of came out of nowhere, but this was an opportunity for both Shawn and Ronnie Coleman Signature Series™ to be a part of something special. We both decided we couldn't walk away until we figured something out."

Shawn's recent success has garnished the attention of the largest supplement companies in the industry. Signing with Ronnie Coleman Signature Series™ is a stunning surprise that will have many wondering, why?
"I chose Ronnie Coleman Signature Series™ first and foremost because I am a huge fan of Ronnie. He is a legend with so many achievements and the way he has handled those achievements is impressive. I've seen his company grow overnight and I know how hard he works. They might not be the biggest company that approached me but they certainly are the best in my opinion in every aspect. They have a great staff, great marketing and most importantly great products. Plus, I could tell how much passion Ronnie and his team had for what they do and how much fun they had doing it which is really important to me. They made me feel like I would be a part of the company rather than just an athlete. I couldn't ignore the positive buzz from around the world either. To be selected as the first RCSS athlete is one of the biggest achievements and accomplishments of my life."

But, why sign an athlete when you are the 8x Mr. O? Many wonder if this announcement is Ronnie finally giving into to retirement or if a comeback is still on the horizon… but the champ has another take on it:
"Shawn has done some amazing things this year and my experience tells me this is just the beginning. Ronnie Coleman Signature Series™ is about more than just me, it's a company that's committed to excellence in the bodybuilding, fitness, and supplement community. Bodybuilding has always been my passion, my hobby, and I will never stop living that lifestyle. I feel blessed to have this opportunity to help Shawn grow into the best bodybuilder in the world. It's going to be fun"-says Ronnie.
Ok, that makes sense but does that mean that you are ready to utter the word "retirement?"

"The last few years have been tough on me injury wise. What a lot of people don't know is that I've made several attempts at a comeback but I kept getting injured and had multiple surgeries. I'm not ruling out competing again but I'm focused on growing my business now. Signing Shawn is about the future. I'd love to make it back on stage but comebacks are totally played out these days! We will see what happens." Mr. Coleman remarked with a slight grin. "It would be pretty cool to see both of us on stage though…"
This is a raw opportunity that gives Ronnie a chance to give back to bodybuilding the way that only a true legend is capable of…Through knowledge and mentorship of an up and coming star. Ronnie plans on helping to develop not only Shawn's physique but his career from the inside out.

"To have Ronnie believe in me enough to make me a part of his team is a dream come true in itself. Anyone that knows me knows the level of belief I have in myself and in achieving my dreams. It's hard to describe it but Ronnie gets it. He understands it and he embraces it. Plus, who wouldn't want the greatest of all time in their sport to mentor them!?"

Matching the magical year that Ronnie's company has had, Rhoden is coming off one of the hottest winning streaks in recent times with wins at both the Europa and Tampa pro and then moving on to take 3rd place at the 2012 Olympia. Now he is fresh off of his victory at the 2nd Annual Arnold Classic Europe with the British and Prague Pro still to come. With three victories alone in 2012 Shawn has solidified himself as a contender in 2013. Add the possibility of two more victories in 2012 and he becomes the next true legitimate threat. "Life and success is all about momentum and attitude. Shawn and Ronnie Coleman Signature Series™ look forward to celebrating together at the top in 2013. The time is now and we won't be stopped." Says Big Ron emphatically.

In less than a year Ronnie Coleman Signature Series has exploded globally and is now available in over 95 countries. A feat that no other supplement company has accomplished in such a short time but Ronnie's all about breaking records. In addition, Ronnie Coleman Signature Series™ just celebrated their US launch by showcasing their custom 45 foot "Mobile Kingdom", as King Coleman calls it, at this year's Olympia. Ronnie is currently touring the country in this aptly named "Mobile Kingdom" visiting over 100 GNC stores in 40 cities.

December Cover Story - Ronnie Coleman's Brutal Workouts!

Everything's Bigger in Texas, even the weights!

The beyond-brutal workouts that built Ronnie Coleman, Branch Warren, and Johnnie Jackson.
It fits the persona of the Lone Star State—that cowboy ethic of rugged individualism, brutal labor void of pretense— and yet a trio of Texans has taken hardcore to another level of suffering. Last year when we ranked the hardest-training bodybuilders ever, we included Ronnie Coleman, Branch Warren, and Johnnie Jackson.

They moved metal, rep after rep, sometimes toiling at the same time in the same small gym. They are also the three strongest competitors to ever saunter onto an Olympia stage. Three years in a row (2004, 2005, and 2006), in the swelter of August and September, we journeyed deep into the heart of Texas and watched those three champs train, individually or paired up, in nine workouts. One of them was the best bodybuilder in the world, and the other two were among the top dozen.

What transpired spawned some of the most memorable articles FLEX ever published. Now, we look back at those workouts to discover what they tell us about the participants, the time and place, and the true meaning of hardcore Texas-style.
I can't wait to get this issue!!!

Ronnie Coleman tells the story of "Yeeaahhh Buuuddddaaay!" at epic BodyPower Expo Seminar Q & A

It's cool to see the fans pick Ronnie's brain. I like seminars where the athletes can be themselves not afraid say what's on their mind. I didn't know that Ronnie up looked to Lee Haney & Arnold. Not many people know that Flex Wheeler made Ronnie who he is by hooking him up with Chad Nicholls. It's team thing when you're a bodybuilder & having a great relationship with your significant other. He talks about his famous quote & where they came from. Ronnie says he'd give Arnold a run for his money. His advice for competing is to find someone willing to help you diet, pose & learn for the whole bodybuilding experience. He talks about his Olympia experience. He gives the fans what they want!

COLEMAN'S COMEBACK

PBW reports Ronnie Coleman will compete in 2011

May 2, 2011

FLEXONLINE.COM

Its been four years since Ronnie Coleman packed up his eight Sandow Trophies and sailed off into a bodybuilding sunset that still shines brightly on arguably the greatest career of all time. But before we start writing the story of his legendary career, it appears that there may be one more chapter left to be written. According to a story, first reported by "Pro Bodybuilding Weekly" radio, it appears that Big Ron is planning to hop on stage and compete later this year at the inaugural IFBB Pro World Master Championships. The December 10th event will take place in Miami Beach, Florida. So apparently the Big Nasty is taking his talents to South Beach. During the PBW broadcast, hosts Dan Solomon, Lee Thompson and Chad Nicholls reported that they've received confirmations from the contest's promoters as well as sources close to Coleman that the former champ is back in the gym and is targeting the December 10th event. Check back soon at Flexonline.com for more details, and be sure to catch bodybuilding talk radio at www.BodybuildingRadio.com

The fans have been waiting to see Ronnie Coleman & it's gonna happen, finally. It'll happen on December 10th at the Masters Pro in Miami. I like to see who wants to compete against him now. Lets see if Shawn Ray, Kevin Levrone or Flex Wheeler may jump on stage against Ronnie.

Ronnie Coleman and Kevin English discuss the finer points of delt training at the MD Seminar

Ronnie Coleman and Kevin English discuss the finer points of delt training

Ronnie keeps his simple & to the point while Kevin has a little more variety in the delt training. One of the tips that I use from Kevin is having the thumbs down for all delt movements. It does put more emphasize on the delts.

Ronnie Coleman & Kevin English VS Lee Haney! Leg Training at the MD Legends Seminar

Ronnie has two leg days. Day 1: Squats, Leg Extension, Leg Press. Day 2: Front squats, Hack squats, Walking lunges. No more two exercise for hamstrings due to the quad exhaustion. Kevin on the other hand, does legs once a week. He likes to warm up first on the bike & light leg extensions, leg press, then squats. Now, Kevin loves doing front squats now more than the regular squat. Kevin uses a high rep leg movements from time to time. Kevin likes doing barbell squats over Smith machine squats due to more muscle recruited. Kevin talks about how to open the tendons in your knees. Kevin thinks chains are great for muscles & it more stress on the muscle for grow. Kevin has someone demo squats on being controlled & exploding up. If you wanna get more outer sweep in your quads, you want to do the movements close.

Lee wants people to understand basics & fundamentals of leg training. Lee Haney talks about the best routine ever. Leg extensions, leg press & then squats. You're pre-exhausting the legs. This will trick the body & make your legs respond by making the legs think it's using heavy weight. You're saving joints & your body for the long haul. Lee did 4 sets of leg extensions, 4 sets of leg press, 4-5 sets of squats, 4 sets of leg curls, 3 sets of stiff-leg deadlifts. He would do hack squats within 16-20 weeks from a show. Hack squats can tear your knees up if your doing them wrong. Lee is demoing the hack squats & tell everyone to push through the heels & squeeze the quads at the top. Lee also demos how stiff-leg deadlifts are great for the hamstrings & glutes.
