Hack Machine Sissy Squats


This was made popular by Tom Platz and is a cool way to crush your teardrop/VMO. This exercise is NOT for everybody. You have to have the right structure (short femur helps), the flexibility, and a good level of vastus medialis muscle to do these. I have never had a knee injury ever, and I credit focusing on building my teardrops and not using knee wraps as a primary reason why. ALWAYS have a great pump in thighs before doing these IF you are right for them. - John Meadows

They start with machine press. They take their reps to failure and partials. Next is flat bench press with a pause near the bottom of the rep. I'm gonna try this out! Next is pec deck. Next is assisted dips.

Leg Training with John Meadows& Evan Centopani


They start with lying leg curls. They did partials, forced reps, drop sets & Iso holds. Next is Bulgarian squats with drop sets. Evan blew chunks but continued the workouts. Next is squats with a spider bar. The bar is a combo of cambered bar & safety squat bar. Next is hack squats with bands. Evan likes this & didn't hurt his knees. Next is leg extensions. Tip: curl your toes more & you work on the upper quads. Next is glute ham raises.

John Meadows Back Workout & Daily Routine - NPC Universe 2014 Prep


John back workout is one arm pulldowns (underhand grip), high rows, face pull to the chest, DB pullovers on the bench, Smith machine bb rows, assisted pull-ups & hyperextensions. His cardio is HIIT swimming. He swims 10 seconds hard & walks the rest of the way for 5 cycles. Next is he meets with Jimmy Bluff to do some work on him with his muscles.

John was doing lying barbell rows and then he was shocked with a cattle prod. That was interesting. Next is close grip pulldowns and superset with facing with away from the machine. Next, the crew does lying barbell rows. Next is low row using bands. Next is reverse bench press. Next is rows for stretching. Lots of great info to listen & watch.
