My Adventure at the Dallas Europa

I flew to Dallas on Friday morning to attend the Dallas Europa. My first time going to the Dallas Europa. Huge event. Whatever your thing is (bodybuilding, powerlifting, crossfit, and etc) was there. I was there to build the Body By Ian brand and I got a good amount of contacts to talk to me. Some like the Body By Ian shirts as well. Plenty of samples, apparel and full products I got. If you're someone who needed to stock up on supplements or get the latest thing then you were at the right place.

PREJUDGING WRAP WITH JAY CUTLER & S RAY! Plus interviews with Nguyen, Jewell, Youells!

Over 900 athletes, mostly women. The lighter class had a lot of athletes. Middle & Light Heavies not so much but the Heavies & Supers brought the numbers back up again. Todd Jewel looks like he won this show. Keith Williams looks like he's second or third but we'll have to see from pics or at the show.

Todd has Hany in his corner & Hany figured out Todd's body. Never been in the 1st call out of this show & he brought the best Todd Jewel I ever seen. He talked about retiring at one time & his near death experience. He hopes he can hold off the rest of the guys.

An knows he's in the top 2 & his improvements are coming out since he last displayed them at the USA in July. His diet has changed & he hopes to win this class.

Rob is in the Top 2 & he's shocked that he's there. He put in the hard work & dedication to land here.

George has Todd winning the Overall. An will win the heavies. George, Hany & Fak have a lot of guys in here & the first call out. Hany has Todd & Drew battling for their pro card & Keith Williams dropped out of the top 5. Also he has An winning the Heavies. Hany talks about the athletes who are not in the top 5, 10 or even 15 heading into the holiday season & maybe they can use the methods that Hany talks about.

140 competitors  with classes up to 70 competitors. The numbers are growing. Diversity in the callouts.

Here's Shawn & Hany

Hany trains both Jay & Phil. Jay will have some graininess that he brings to the stage. Jay & Phil like to mess with each other via Twitter or on stage. We could have some dark horses to spoil the Jay-Phil battle. It's also a huge disappointment that Branch is not here competing.

Making the Jump from 202 to Open: Seth Feroce blasts arms under the watchful eye of Hany Rambod

Seth & Hany discuss the gameplan on training today. Seth warms up bb curls & then goes heavy. To get a great pump, you gotta be hydrated! Seth explodes up & slow for the negative. Now, he's hitting partials for that extra pump. Next is db preacher curl. They're preloading the muscle. Hany explains why they're preloading the muscle. That was some great info. Flexing to pump the muscle up. Next is incline db curls. I love this exercise. He goes into hammer curls to get a great pump for the bi's & forearms. Next is machine preacher curls. Hany is throwing negatives at the end of each set to bump of the intensity. Hany is giving out some great tips! Now onto triceps. Seth warms up with rope pushdowns. Now, they're preloading the tri's with rope pushdowns to prepare for the compound movements. If you put the elbows more in front of you, it forces you not to cheat or swing. Next is close grip bench press. This is one of my staples for tri's. Next is skullcrushers. I do the same thing that Seth does. Don't push it straight up, angle it so it keeps constant tension on the tri's. Next is one arm reverse pushdowns. Seth has a super pump in his arms.
