Recovery For Growth

Recovery is first and foremost your priority because without it growth and increased performance cannot happen.

I want you to imagine progress as a pyramid effect, whereby recovery ALWAYS comes before growth and improved performance.

The recovery process includes the transition from a catabolic state into an anabolic state, at the first phase. It also entails CNS (central nervous system) recovery which is essential to maintaining muscle fiber recruitment within the gym and a high quality sleep pattern.

To kick-start recovery you need to be ticking the following boxes as a MINIMUM -

. Drinking 4-5 liters of water a day

. Consuming a minimum of 1g of protein per lean pound of body weight (can be more)

. Managing stimulant intake properly

. Sleeping 6-8 hours per night

. Having enough rest days from the gym

. Ensuring your diet and supplement plan is rich enough in key nutrients such as magnesium, zinc, potassium and calcium

These are just the basics.

Remember, recovery leads to growth. So prioritize recovery!
