Update 12/19/15

Hey everyone, it has been interesting six weeks for me. I'm thinking doing an update bi-weekly to let you know what's going on. Well, lets start with on November 11th, I had to go to the ER because I had a severe pain in my kidney. No pain like I ever experienced. After my urinalysis, my white blood cell count was great, kidney and liver functioning fine but there was blood in my urine. A kidney stone emerged. The average stone is three mm and of course mine is way bigger. Mine happens to be seven mm. Double the size. Of course, it's so big that I can't pass it but haven't had pain ever since the first day. I couldn't train and do other things because I was worried about the pain moving and ripping me up inside. As well, this happens a few weeks before my birthday. I got some medicine for the stone to help me out yet another surprise came about.

I got this flare up appeared on my back and started to leak out. Meanwhile, I've been in contact with my cancer doctor giving her the news about my stone and then flare up comes. She looked at it via pictures I sent her and knew what it was right away. It was flare up of my CTCL/Mycosis Fungoides. This thing was leaking a lot. Plus, this flare up in directly in the middle upper part on my back. So sitting sucked ass at times. I was in pain. I couldn't train and do other things because I was in pain. I'd put a gauze or some type of cover and it'd fill up and make a huge mess on the back on my shirts. I got some antibiotics and the flare up got smaller and pain is going away. On my birthday, I spent it seeing my cancer doctor in Philly. She hasn't seen me in six months, which is great for anyone dealing with cancer. She looked at the flare up and she gave me twelve tiny shots in my flare up. It was a steroid to speed up the process. My next appointment with her is in April.

Let's backtrack to the stone, I went to the urologist a week before my birthday. I did a sample for them and they liked what they saw. Met the doctor and I told me we have to do and ultrasound and a x-ray. The ultrasound was weird and now I see what pregnant women go through. They couldn't really see the stone but they saw that it went back to the kidney area and was relaxing there. The next thing was to get a x-ray. The x-ray (they let me keep the x-ray) revealed the results and it looked like it was getting smaller. Plus, the doctor said, I can go back to working out and enjoying my life again. I see him March. The next thing is to do a collection for the stone, which is a story on its own.

The urologist recommend doing a collection for the stone. I had to do a 24 hour collection which is basically urinate in this orange jug. There's specific directions for collecting this sample. I pissed almost 4.5 liters in 24 hours. Yes, it's a lot. Prior to this whole day of collecting, I had to call FedEx to make sure they'll pick the package to send back to get my results. After the collection, I had to write my collection start and finish time, the amount i collected and many other things before sending the collection off. I hope I have my results by Christmas to see what kind of stone this is.

I'm back to training again. Easing myself back slowly. Trying out some new things. More negatives in my workout. I don't have to go crazy heavy but it's getting the job done with the tension I'm putting the muscle through. Plus, I'm adding yoga to my cardio. Wow, I really didn't expect to like it but I was wrong. I like it and it's a good way for me to stay flexible and to change things up besides the regular cardio you do at the gym.

Nutrition is getting better now. My water intake is really good. I drink about 1.5 gallons daily. I use this app called Water Drink Reminder. It's helped me out a lot. I know I've lost some weight and inches which is always good.

Events wise, there was RX Muscle's Bros vs. Pros on December 5th at my home gym, Diamond Gym. Great turnout with lots of weight and reps being move in the deadlift and bench press. On December, I went to the Kai Greene "Believe" one night only. I did a review for it. That will be out on the 21st same week as "Believe" event will come out on generationiron.com You can pre-order now and watch it on Christmas. For 2016, I'll be in LA for the LA Fit Expo in January. Can't wait!! As well as Charlotte and Atlantic City for the Europa. Plus, many others. Who knows where I'll be at. Stay tuned for content and updates! Talk to you soon.
