You've seen the articles which
highlight the best foods for optimizing fat loss. However I feel this
potentially delivers a poor message because ultimately there is NO
single food which will help you reduce your body fat unless the right
criteria is met.
Unless
your entire diet is optimized for fat loss, including being in a
calorie deficit,
containing sufficient nutrients from various food groups NO one or two
foods will get you shredded!! That's BS, no matter how many
"super food articles" its featured in!
Yes, some foods and ingredients do lead to increased thermogenesis BUT there's a bigger picture to look at here!
The reality is, the KEY fundamentals to fat loss will always remain.
I
feel with the media as it
is and the increased use of the internet with multiple marketing
platforms there's always a huge exaggeration on the full effect of
certain things because there's a hidden agenda.
People want to believe that there's a "secret."
The true "secret" to eating for fat loss is as follows -
1. Have the right set-up from the start
2. Be CONSISTENT with it
3. Measure progress and analyze when
small changes need making
4. Know how and when to make the small changes
5. KEEP going
The
problem with that is it DOES require work, dedication, effort and
knowledge. All of these things are NOT what people want to hear which is
why "super foods" for fat loss grab people's attention very quickly.
