1 - A healthy body evolves quicker
There
is a lot to be said for keeping your body healthy in order to optimize
your ability to transform your body composition AND get better
performance in the gym. If you are taking care of your health then
things like excessive inflammation won't become an obstacle, under par
lung function, excessive toxicity levels and other factors which all
contribute towards your state of health. I frequently recommend my
online clients to have health checks to ensure they are healthy (health
markers checked) because if they are not, then their goals are going to
an uphill struggle.
2 - Gut health is CRUCIAL
Your
food has to support healthy gut function otherwise you will ALWAYS
struggle to maximize your results, you just will! The gut is the gateway
to your body, its where all the nutrients should be broken down and
assimilated correctly.
Undoubtedly from
experience, single ingredient foods win over processed foods.
3 - Hormonal response
Two
food groups with the same
macro-nutrient and calorie profiles can give different responses. This
does NOT mean I am against foods which are many class as "dirty" but
there are better times to use certain foods over others for multiple
reasons.
