Unless you are a novice to training, the average bodybuilder/trainer with notable experience knows that leaning forward during lateral raises targets the medial head of the delts; the movement is more natural when one leans forward slightly. Sitting straight up or leaning back is a surefire to destroy the rotator cuff or cause undue injury to the shoulder area in general-that's something MuscleTech should've been sharing in their "tip".
