More Energy

In an ideal world I'm sure you'd agree that having more energy in your life will be a positive thing. I'm not talking about using stimulants to lift you up, I mean energizing your body properly to make it more efficient and ultimately perform better.

You do this through lifestyle and diet.

There are multiple factors which come into play here.

There are 3 KEY areas.

If you are able to improve your energy levels then of course your productivity in AND out of the gym will go up. This will equate to faster results, better results and a more rewarding life.

To me this is essential because this is a LIFESTYLE, not just a stint where you "diet" and "train." We do this every frigging day and everything you do outside of the gym should be something you aim to excel in. As a partner, friend, parent, businessman or in your career.

How can you get more energy?

Here's how

1 - Gut feeling

If certain foods are harming your gut and creating an inflammatory response due to an allergy or even a sensitivity then it needs to GO! You can spot foods which do this from keeping a food diary in my experience, however to be very sure then a full blood/stool screening will be necessary. The difference you will feel by removing foods which you don't agree with can be very noticeable! This is a must!

2 - Less stimulants

LESS!! We live in a world where stimulants are consumed excessively. What this does is the exact opposite to what it is supposed to do. It makes you TIRED! Why? Because you create adrenal gland fatigue within the body. REDUCE your stimulant/caffeine intake for 2 weeks and then ONLY use it 1-3 times a day and see the difference. You will also feel they work more when you want them to once you've done this! Use, don't abuse!

3 - Eat frequently

I've always maintained high meal frequency is the best way to optimize energy levels provided the overall composition of your diet is on point. This is because you create an environment where there are no extreme peaks and troughs in your blood sugar levels, which can have a direct correlation to energy. As a clue, essential fatty acids, fiber, protein and the RIGHT carbs play a very important role in this.
