Triceps Training Tip

To IMPROVE triceps recruitment when doing pushdowns DON'T allow your forearm to go much beyond a 90 degree angle with your upper arm. If you do then the emphasis of the load on the triceps will reduce somewhat.
By using a slightly shorter range of motion (it's only about 1-2 inches difference) you KEEP the triceps under tension because they have to resist the weight.
