If you can get more (quality) reps, you will create a greater
metabolic demand on your body which will result in more calories burned
not only during the workout but for hours afterwards.
Adding in beta alanine to your regimen can help you get a few more reps
in those longer sets when the burn really starts to kick in.
It can be
especially helpful for drop sets that take all you have
mentally and physically.
It can be taken at almost any time of
day because the effects of beta alanine are cumulative with prolonged
use and not necessarily an immediate effect. 1-2g about 2x daily is a
good approach and is an easy addition to your pre and post-workout
nutrition. - B Pak
I knew about Beta Alanine for pre-workout to buffer the lactid acid but I didn't know about using it for post-workout.
