It doesn't make any difference if you have lost 5lbs that week if you look worse for it.
The commercial "weight loss" world does everything to make you believe that the scales are all that matter. FALSE!
It does that because making someone
lose weight on the scales is easy.
Putting
someone in a big calorie deficit and making them exercise, along with
weight loss products which act as laxatives will cause you to lose
WEIGHT FAST. But, a lot of this will be muscle tissue and water. You
want FAT loss.
What
isn't so easy is helping someone change their body composition for the
better, bringing their body fat down and their lean muscle mass up.
I'm
not saying "weight loss" isn't important because ultimately it's a
byproduct of fat loss (when done correctly). But you HAVE to make sure
you are losing the right weight rather than weight for weights sake.
It's the same when someone gains weight for weights sake, and it's actually fat they are adding.
Losing weight fast and sacrificing muscle mass isn't smart for multiple reasons.
Better
measures of fat loss are waistline measurement and progress photos
along with taking your weight. This then allows you to notice specific
patterns forming/taking place.
