TODAY there are so many different dieting protocols with lots of different labels.
IIFYM, Flexible Dieting, Intermittent Fasting, Clean eating etc. . . . .
There
seems to be a divide between those who
focus on the numbers (macros/calories) and those who preach the
importance of food quality, and then the finer details including
nutrient timing and even using specific sources of each macro at given
times of the day for a better outcome.
I come from the old school, and by that I mean what happened to common sense eating?
There's
no denying that a diet made up, for the most part from "natural" clean
foods such as vegetables, fruit,
meat, fish and the likes of will be healthier for us. There's also no
denying that including some s***, when it's appropriate isn't going to
kill you.
It's about being balanced. But not justifying eating s*** by saying it's a "balanced" diet. Make sense?
Seeing
this bulls*** about IIFYM where the general public are led into
thinking that athletes are just eating s*** and stay in shape where as
in reality for most, it's a small part of
their calorie intake.
