EMPIRE STATE OF MIND: FLEX LEWIS part 1 & 2

FLEXonline had the privilege of spending three days with Flex Lewis in his hometown of Murfreesboro, TN. In this first video, Flex is putting a hurting on his triceps. You might recognize this workout from the "Demolition Man" article in the February 2011 issue of FLEX!

Each week leading up the NY Pro, the EMPIRE STATE OF MIND video series will feature Flex Lewis both in and out of the gym. Besides some great workouts, you will get to see Flex at home and around town! This is a true look at the day to day life of a champion bodybuilder.

 Flex starts off with a giant set by doing tricep pushdowns, underhand pushdowns, overhead extensions & rope pushdowns. Next is close grip bench press on the Smith machine. Next is the EZ bar overhead extensions. He wants to add more blood & stretch the fascia. 

In part II of the Flex Lewis video series, back is on the agenda. This video begins at the end of a morning of filming at Flex's home (video coming soon) and we follow Flex right into the gym. Along with some great training footage, Flex provides training tips for each exercise!

Flex starts with wide grip pulldown & he's only going down to the chin. It's a close grip pulldowns but he uses 2 half reps & 2 full squeeze reps. I wanna try that exercise out. Next is pullovers. Most gyms don't have this piece of equipment. Next is T-bar Rows & do drop sets with them.  Low pulley is next. He wants to squeeze out the reps.
